The Show!
Well chuffed with this video of our show by ‘Illamasqua’ really shows all the detail that went into the costumes, make-up and set. Mine is featured in the end scene and is a colourful shirt and trousers, sadly no footage of my cage!

Well that was different..
I went to see a performative piece called ‘Beast’ by theatre company Shunt last night, which involved me being fed food via a syringe while wearing an oxygen mask…

Progression
It’s been two months since I updated! Clearly not cut out to be a blogger.
Back at uni, third and final year! Already experiencing a huge learning curve, we had a piece of text (huge novel) Gormenghast to read over summer for our next project. I read the first in the triliogy to gear up for Gormenghast, I then read Gormenghast.
Was feeling pretty proud of myself, finished both books knew...

Finished Gormenghast a few days ago
and watched the BBC mini series adaption made in 2000 of both books which was really interesting, I mainly watched it to see how they had interpreted it and how they condensed the storyline and what plot points they kept.
I enjoyed Jonathan Rhys Myers as Steerpike :) even if he is a little bit wrong.
In addition to this I’ve been thinking of ideas for my final major project disseration...
Think I am an official geek now.

This picture pretty much sums up the scale of epicness of last nights sci-fi party. And yes you are looking at a complete fully customised DeLorean and Doc in the front drive of my friends house :) no words can describe the moment when it pulled up, theme music blaring and doc and 1988 marty got out of the car, smoke billowing, lights flashing. night made. best party ever.

Well true to my uni’s form I still haven’t recieved professional photo’s of my costume because baboons could run the course better.
In the mean time i’m going to use my time efficiently over summer and blog you crazy :)

Finalised piece!

The coat isn’t finished, althought technically it wasn’t in our brief to make one I felt it completed the look, and plan to finish it in my christmas holidays along with that huge tail you saw in the design earlier - which will, after much researching, be constructed from gathered layers of netting and fur onto a lycra tube.

There's no frozen section in a tesco metro.

At Lindsey’s new flat - managed to get ourselves locked IN today. The lock broke on the door and I managed to open in with a credit card. Kinda stuck inside doing work until someone hopefully comes round tomorrow to fit a new one!
